I just picked up a UX-90 heavily discounted and love Panasonic fixed lens cameras generally for my Glidecam work. I love the Canon C100 but can never get accurate balance and the UX-90 is now well under half price. My two concerns:
1. 15x zoom vs 20 for the UX-180
2. the fake cine-d colour profile
I charged up batteries and took it around my property today under harsh noon light. I can confirm the following:
1. the 15x zoom is incredible. It uses the 4K sensor to create a seamless hybrid approach that's easy to understand
2. I like the cine-d profile and used a LUT called 'GC Titax' that really brought out some lovely contrast, and enabled me to brighten up the shadows in Lumetri/Premiere for the perfect image.

Here is a YouTube link with the camera on full auto, 4K, and that LUT applied with increased shadow levels to reduce the contrast a bit. If you can share a LUT that's not so contrastly I would appreciate that.
