UX-180 HDMI out? 10bit? 422?

Little confused on what this camera outputs.

From what I'm reading, it can do 10bit 4:2:2 out in 1080p, but only 8bit 4:2:0 in UHD?

Is that correct?

Also, are the All-Intra modes 10bit 422?
 
The UX180 outputs 8-bit always.

It is 4:2:2 in all modes except UHD 50p and UHD 59.94p. in those two modes, it outputs 4:2:0.

Sold both of mine recently. Needed another cam real quick for an upcoming job. This will have to hold me over till they release an actual "pro" version of a camcorder like this. All intra, internal 422 10bit, P2, etc...
 
Every time I consider making a change, and I look at the alternatives, 4K not withstanding, I end up thinking I'm pretty satisfied with the 270. Not a perfect cam, but it hits enough of my happy buttons for me to keep it. For me, doing small corporate, the only thing missing for me is 4K. And while that would be nice, I haven't yet had a customer that cared either way.

I use FHD 1080 100M 60p..so I gather that is 4:2:2?
What's FHD All_I ZOOM??

I will be interested to see if Panny sticks to the P2 media format. Given the speeds available with SDXC U3 UHS-II cards, I'm not sure P2 is necessary.

For 4K , it looks as if everyone has given up on using a 1/3" chip.

All new ENG style camcorders from Sony, Canon and Panny use 1" sensors for 4K shooting.

To your point, there seems to be a significant gap with 'pro' 4K camcorders that can shoot 4:2:2 internally. Seems like an odd omission. Take the guts of the UX180, add a few more pro features and an internal 4:2:2 codec and charge a couple extra grand more for it.
 
Seems like Panny is making a clear distinction between cinema cam and ENG cam product lines. In the news world, P2 is still a real go to for reliability and file transfer. At DVXuser, not much is said about ENG cams anymore, news organizations and ENG shooters just don't hang here. But ENG is still a very important market segment for all the cam manufacturers. Panny cinema has abandoned P2 all together. Ever since the introduction of the HVX200 they took a real beating on the cost of P2 despite the inherent reliability and great codecs. I suppose SD reliability has improved over time, but given their history, I still have a distrust of SD. At least if you have two SD slots you can do redundant recording. I would have preferred P2 for all their cams and short of that gone with CF cards in the cinema cams. But CF has fallen out of favor to some extent as well.

Although single sensors are infiltrating eng cams, many-most still use 3 chips and some even use CCD sensors
