Does anyone know what is a good UV filter I can use to protect my DVX100B's lense from getting dust or fingerprints. I am not really look to actually use it for changing the way the image looks, just to protect my lense. Is there anything worth buying under $50? I do not want it to degrade my image quality a noticeable amount, so let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

I think most here would agree with the B&W brand.

Yeah, I've figured out a couple brands that are supposed to be good, but like there's so many choices. How do I know what is the best value? I don't even know the difference between them?

Ok, is there anyway I could go about picking out one? Because like everything else, one brand might be better for the same price or cheaper for the same quality.

Just go with B+W. Get the multi-coated one. Take it from a person who is using the cheapo camera world 20 dollar UV filter. I plan on getting a B+W UV in the very near future. Any good filter is going to cost more money no matter how you cut it.

supposedly tiffen uses green glass. not knocking tiffen but if you were to hold your tiffen up next to a b&w you will notice a difference. its like you cant even see that there is glass in the b&w.

Yeah I have the Tiffen UV and it sucks. I have grown custom to removing it before I shoot outside because the DVX lens is reflected back into the camera when the sun hits the filter. Dont go cheap, buy a multi-coated B+W.

i support the B+W skylight filter, truly awesome. but i just bought it to bought the inner lense. i will recommend this. cost about SG$84.
