UV filter and fader ND

Just want to know how many of you put a UV filter over your fader ND's? Also I have been shooting with my lens with UV then the fader ontop of it. I do notice some type of underexposed tinted haze in some of my shots. should I be removing the UV filter thats inbetween?

The 82mm lens cap that comes with the fader doesnt sit properly cause its too shallow. I'm thinking with the UV filter the lens cap will snap on properly?

cheers and Happy new yrs

The more the glass elements you have, the greater chance of reflections. I'd take off the UV filter. Personally, I never have a filter on my lenses unless it's there for a specific purpose (not "protection"). Unless filters are excellent quality, you're putting inferior glass in front of your expensive lenses, an exercise in futility.

Cheers,

completely agree. I'm just super paranoid about getting scuffs on my lenses so its one sacrifice in IQ I'm willing to accept.

My fader is primarily used for video to get correct shutter speed and generally IQ from an excellent lens vs average is harder to pick than it is in photography. Just after a setup that won't further degrade IQ with the fader ND.
