Utube not uploading film...

I am having some problems getting my 6 min. film to stream on Utube. Any one know the exact setting to use for a quicktime conversion to get this to work? Film was shot 1080p24 on the Canon XH-A1. Edited in Final Cut Pro 5. :kali:

File->Export->Using quicktime conversion.

Set your bit rate to like 400-700.

Set audio to AAC.

Set your frame size small...

Youtube usually looks like poo no matter what, so in order to keep the file sizes manageable, I will export as a 320x240 frame (that's for 4:3, you may need to convert it for widescreen) and I use half the frame rate of whatever my source is - 12 fps in your case. Use the H.264 codec if it is available to you.

Actually you can footage to look pretty good on YouTube.
There is a FAQ on my site that gives specifics. I didn't come up with it, it's from the LAFCPUG. I have used it to upload some pretty decent clips.

Badass!!! Your link on your website worked like a charm, very very sharp for Utube!!! I had my doubts, but they are gone now, thanks again, this site rocks!!!

Check it out on my page (my myspace link is below), it's the black and white movie called "Cold Hearts Like Company" it was my first attempt at Noir. I'm going to redo all my streamed videos. :2vrolijk_08:
