Hey,
I posted about this on the FCP forum and no replies, maybe someone has experienced it here.
I used pluraleyes to sync 3 live tracks to desk recorded audio and edited them together to a roughly ten minute film. I did all my CCing, it looks fine etc.
I thought I'd try editing the native h.264 files as I'd just come off editing a PR422 multiclip so wanted to see if it was quicker without converting. It was, so I got everything ready in the native h.264, but selected to render to PR422 in the sequence settings.
I rendered - which took an absolute age and noticed a problem - for some reason at one point the video has a ten second gap where it skips to a later part in the video. In other words the song plays as normally, and is in sync before and after, but for 5 seconds or so the video part is out of sync, playing twenty seconds ahead or something, then it comes back.
This was weird so I cut out the offending part and dragged to connect the two working halves and even joined them w/a through edit - rendered AGAIN which took ages, and all is FINE in the timeline.
I exported the video and the error is STILL THERE in the final exported video - despite it being FINE in the timeline now!? I don't know why it occurred in the first place, but as I said it's not fine in the timeline, so why is it in the final video? It had to re-render when I made my changes so it's not like it's old render files or anything!
Also, in the exported video there's a few seconds at the beginning where it will freeze and resume - guaranteed. Again - in the timeline it's FINE.
ALSO! - Mid video it has a similar problem, I've not studied it for the exact details, but I can skip to it and the video is magically out of sync, prob with the same issue as above. Again, it's fine and in sync throughout in the timeline!
Literally no idea on this one. Any suggestions?
I can trash the render files and re-render I suppose but it took my literally a day to render this for some reason.
