Iv'e tried to view some of the HDV footage or even the Drake clips.

I just get a white page, etc.

I know you can download VLC from a link.

I choose Mac OSX and now it askes for this.

vlc-0.8.1.dmg (9.6MB) :
Select a mirror :
VIA, Ecole Centrale Paris (France)

Twente University (Netherlands)

Cr@ns, ENS Cachan (France)

Providence University (Taiwan)

Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (Brazil)

(Requires Mac OS X 10.2 or 10.3)

I can't see a direct link. I'm I suppose to choose one of the mirrors? Maybe I'm blind tonight and too tired and I just can't see it or I don't know which mirror to choose.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm also trying to get VLC to work with the HVR-Z1U. It doesn't seem to work in HDV or DV mode. Any setup tricks?

I didn't get it to work neither. I ended up using MPEG streamclip to watch and convert things. Strange...
