Has anyone here bought a video ipod specifically to upload your work to so you could show possible exployers your skills? It interests me and i have a birthday coming up so im thinking this might be a great idea to show my work to employers.

I have my Demo Reels on my PDA with me always... "just in case"

I don't know if it would be a good sole reason to buy an iPod, but if I had one I'm sure I'd have some promo stuff in there too.

thats not the only reason, i would also store music on there and use it as an external hard drive and as a bcakup harddrive but i was just wondering if anyone else did this with their ipods.

I bought the Video Ipod with examples of my reel, organized by production vs psot production.

I also got it to sell a client on video poddcasting thier messages.

Ahhh... precisely my plan. However, I'm waiting for the next generation video iPod before I do so as I'm still learning about creating RSS feeds.

yeah, there is a new video ipod coming out. It supposed to be all screen, with digital controls.

I do carry one around with my movie on it, so I can always be ready to show people. Hell I show people my movies on the subway, then give them a card to my site. It's like the promo tool you've waited for all your life.

I have my demo reel on it and some other productions. Most the time when I do use it to show people I do end up hooking it up to a TV or a Projector so I keep that cable in the car with me. But I have just poped it out and showed some one. It works.

Hey everyone, i got a video ipod and all but i still have 2 questions.
1. To import a video to your video ipod it needs to be a "movie clip" but all of my videos are stored as "video clips" how do i change them.
2. What cable do i need to hook my video ipod to a tv?
Thanks again everyone!

img how does the image look when put out to an NTSC monitor....as it has to do alot of scaling. thanx

What you do is you put your reel and all the spots/videos you've done that are currently in rotation on TV - then send the video Ipod to Mr. Executive Producer @ Noname Ad Agency - and repeat.

Oh whats that you say? Too expensive? Well... I guess I'm just another jerkoff asshat, eh?
