I posted this in the audio section, but copying here as it's possibly useful to FS7 users who have bought the new Sony radio mic kit with hotshoe mount:

An update for anyone using a TRAM TR50 or Countryman EMW lavalier mic with one of the new Sony UTX-B03 units.

I used the pinouts/wiring diagram from Countryman:

Tip = B
Ring = R
Sleeve = S
15k resistor Tip to Sleeve

Works like a charm.

For other transmitters, here's the full list from Countryman:

Ben.

I have the UTX/URX/UWP set, but I'm about to contact Sony because there seems to be a problem with my kit when I'm using the multi interface shoe and docking to the camera - all sorts of weird electronic sounds on the audio line.

EDIIT: Using the Sony stock lav.

Have you tried turning off the GPS on the camera? That gives off pulsing RF interference.

Yes, that was the solution. Didn't know it when I posted this thread. Solved in the other thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?335539-Sony-May-Lose-My-Business-Over-15

Mind you, if this is a consistent issue and not a defect in my camera, then you would think the firmware should force disable the GPS when a user selects the shoe audio input (or it detects a wireless transmitter on the shoe input).
