Using the HVX with a FS-100

I just got an FS-100. I've followed the directions in the manual along with these two tutorial videos which basically say the same thing. Here and here. The timecode didn't run on the camera like it said it would, but it was running on the Firestore.. And then I tried the tutorial here which is a bit different than all of the others. That didn't work either. (in that tutorial it stated the the time code won't run. unlike the others)

But something is going wrong. I can't get any clips to record, no matter which tutorial I follow. When I press record on the HVX, I notice the time code isn't running on the camera, but it runs on the firestore. According to one of those tutorial videos, I should see it running on both. But I don't. And this is where I think the problem is.

But, why? I can't figure it out. I've been through the menus at least 10 times and I don't see what the problem could be. Anybody know what may be causing this?

Call me crazy, but it magically started working. I don't have a clue what I did. Feel free to delete this thread.
 
Hi! Please, I need some help, Think you can Help me. I'm trying to make my hvx200A work with a firestore FS-100 and having trouble.
When I'm in Tape mode, it works fine. When I'm in P2 mode, the camera tells: External 1394 disconnect. I don't know what to do and nobody is answering my post about it.
Do you know what's the problem?
