Using the HVX 200 in a single-engine plane

Footage from a test flight with Panasonic HVX 200 with a self-made wooden tripod. In search of a camera mount that can be attached as rigid as possible inside of the cockpit of a single-engine plane I designed a strange looking kind of tripod (respectively camera bracket) that causes only litte wobbling.

Loved the first shot - that pan up was awesome! Definitely some killer footage.

It seemed like your little contraption worked well - however, the downside to shooting in any plane has to be the reflection on the window - It didn't take away too much from any shots but its bothered me with mine in the past.

Curious as to why you want something rigid attached to the plane?

The best footage I've shot from a small plane or helicopter was when I isolated the camera as much as possible from the vibration of the engine and the movement of the plane or helicopter.
