Hi everyone. Does anyone know if the FS7 handgrip is a LANC grip? If so, do you think if I purchased a LANC to Multi Terminal adapter it might work with my A7s as well? Just curious because it might improve the ergonomics of the thing, and save my back from less comfortable rigs.

I'd love to be able to start-stop recording and punch in for focus, that's it.

Here's one option. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/916138-REG/sony_rmtdslr2_wireless_remote_commander.html
And here's another one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/171989558972?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82
And yet some more options. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&ke...vptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_3xxwz7bwal_b
Hope this helps.

Yes, the FS7 handgrip operates on a modified version of the LANC protocol, shared with other recent Sony cameras that have a 2.5mm LANC port.

I'm not aware of any reason to believe that the A7S can understand LANC commands, physical cabling issues not withstanding. I was under the impression that the existing remotes for the A7S are using the USB port and communicating via USB.
