Using the DVX for no good

Or how I've used the DVX100A to make an ass out of myself and my company.
We, at Random Creatureface Films, felt that we weren't doing enough to shove our opinions down other peoples throats so we came up with the brilliant strategy of Vidcast Reviews. Viewable here:

#1 Stay Alive

#2 Thank you For Smoking

#3 The Descent

Be fore warned... these aren't about quality (except for the sweet opener) but content... if there is actually any, that you can argue about. Enjoy.

hey guys...that wasn't awesome, but hey, it got me watching. I had to stop myself from watching because I thought it was an ok movie. Haha!

You guys should try harder though. get some lights.

We are well aware of our geek status and man do the ladies love it too... ok maybe not.
If we could afford some lights we probably wouldn't use'm. These are merely a way to keep the RCF website fresh and full of steaming content while we finish our feature.
I'm pretty sure Lance actually took that cup with him into the theatre and then refilled it before we shot the review... he's the poorest of us poor folk.

Alright, if you aren't sick of these things... try this one on for size! You thought the others were geeky... oh brother, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Invest in a microphone and the quality of the video will increase exponentially.

And then ... after that ... we'll talk about the lights.

Cool idea - i wish you success!

audio on the latest one was mucked up in compression. Repaired audio is now up and in stereo instead of just left channel.
If you look in the left window reflection you can see that we actually lit this last one with a china ball. I doubt we'll ever get to the "lights up, turn the chairs, remove thumbs from asses" that Ebert & Roeper have going on. These are just something to keep the RCF site fresh till film release and to allow people to get to know the random creatureface crew.
:dankk2: for the kind wishes

I'm not into horror films, but I have to say that a lot of the photography in the Summer School trailer was nice. I'm a sucker for dollies...

Unbelievable man. lol, is it me or is everyone on this thread critical as hell. First off, your trailer was un-f*c*ing-believable. Watched it twice. The behind the scenes is a true example of passionate people at work. The film reviews (watched all 3) hilarous and informative, please make more because in doing so I will know which movies to watch :). Unlike other critics who stick to one part of the movie for the entire 43 second review, you guys disect what it is you love, so what you say becomes more than opinion and almost fact. Fabulous, I've been waiting for that.

Hey glad you guys are enjoying these. We promise that for Vidcast Review #10 we'll not only use a real microphone but possibly shoot it on a HVX.

You guys really need to stop talking over each other! :D Good stuff!

Sorry, we try to allow each person to speak their mind. That seems to work well in theory but really we all just tend to ramble on and on till somebody else cuts us off. Hopefully you can still understand what we are saying.

Shot on the HVX with some nice boom mics. Just noticed the compression isn't stellar. I will repost it after the weekend as the RCF crew is going to the Crypticon.
