Using Squeeze Mode with DVX100A and HVX200

I have a friend that needs to do a 2 camera shoot. He owns a DVX100A and was going to borrow a friend's HVX200. He noticed both cameras had the squeeze option for 16:9 shooting. I thought with the HVX200, its native 16:9 and with the DVX100A its not really true 16:9 but an effect, no? I went on to say that he would need to put an anamorphic lens on his DVX to get the true 16:9. Am I correct with this? I think he is more confused about both cameras having the "squeeze" option. He will be shooting to TAPE with the HVX200 and not P2. So in a nut shell what should I suggest for him to do in order to have both cameras shooting 16:9 to tape?

Thanks

the dvx cant shoot in true 16x9 without a special lens. The hvx 200 and the dvx 100 dont make a very good pare unless your shooting in 4x3. the hvx shoots 4x3 when shooting to tape but can compensate with the squeeze mode. Either use both in squeese or non in squeeze but dont use the lens on one and not the other. If you want the pair to work real nice i would shoot both in 4x3.
