I'd like to know the law in regards to using news footage in your movies.
Can you show a television that's airing any of the 24hr news networks like C-Span, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC FOX, etc?
If so... can you have the footage from any of these channels running in your movie, but not in the form of appearing on a TV? Meaning, can you record what plays on the news channels, and import that into your editing system to use?
If so... for either of these scenarios, are you able to blur out, crop, or otherwise hide the news channels logo?
