Using Matadata on Site!

Did anyone tried Matadata on site? Like adding Scene, Shot, & Take No.

What is the procedure of adding matadata in camera? (not clear enough in manual)
If uploading thru SD card, how do we assign specific data to a specific clip?
I don't mind if it's complex process but, How possibly quick is it for tight schedule? :kali:
 
Well, so its not as simple as we think, Right?
Not even by the Manual.

Metadata on the HMC150 is covered in the book, yes. But it's not as well-supported as P2 metadata yet. I mean, it's exactly the same, you can use P2 Viewer to enter metadata files and load them into the camera. And you can view the metadata in the clips by going to the playback mode and using the clip properties feature. But with the P2 cameras you can enter information via the camera (with some cameras), and you can see that metadata in the NLE. I haven't found any AVCHD editors that show the metadata yet.

I don't use FCP, but FCP was supposed to have been upgraded recently to provide metadata support. Probably during the log & transfer step?

We use metadata during the shoot frequently on P2 shoots, especially with Premiere CS4.1 or EDIUS's automatic integration. Maybe David Jimerson can give you some more suggestions when he gets back online.
