Using LCD screen on a shoot?

I have a spare 17" LCD that I'd like to bring on a shoot to use as a monitor.

Does anyone know how this could work? Is it possible to hook up an LCD to my DVX100a during the shoot?

I do it all the time, just as long as you have a spare RCA cord, hook it up to your video out and into the video in and voila! A frickin monitor!
 
I wouldnt trust the image output..... but I still think its better than the lcd on the camera.
