Using Firestore With HVX200

Have a client coming over to shoot something short, and he wants to use his Firestore. Never used one with an HVX200, and was looking up procedure. In, "Other Functions", you're supposed to put 1394 on Ext, but it just says off. Do you need the Firestore to be set up, and connected, before being able to change that? Any help is appreciated.
 
It seems that I'm only able to get firewire to go "Out", in SD(480i). When changing to 720p, the 1394 does not show up on LCD, or in On Location.
 
It won't work with 720pn, doyou have it set to that? You can't output a pn signal, but the firestore is capable of removing the extra frames if you set the drive itself to "pn"
 
But whether it'll work or not is dependent on what Firestore model he's bringing over. If it's an HDV firestore, it will not work with the HVX200 in HD mode, at all. The only FS that works with the HVX is the FS-100.
