Hey folks- I was recently asked to set up a live monitor of an event for viewing in a side room (people who aren't able to be in the main hall can still see what is happening).
I have a DVX100 I can use, but I have two questions-
1) If I am not recording anything, can I force the camera not to time out and shut down? I noticed that when I was recording a firewire stream to a laptop, the camera would shut off if I didn't also have a tape recording inside. This wasn't actually a problem before because I always wanted a tape backup as well, but in this situation I don't need/want anything recorded. I'm sure there's a menu item for this I just haven't noticed yet?
2) How do I get clean output from the composite jack? Right now when I plug in an external monitor, I have information on the display. I want just a clean live video signal to output to a monitor. Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks!
