Basically true, but if you already have a DVCAM suite, using all DVCAM equipment and you've been using DVCAM tapes, it would probably make sense to stick to them. I'm of the opinion that tape is one place where you shouldn't skimp. I personally think the MQ's are just as good as DVCAM tape, but if someone's been using DVCAM it would make sense to stick with it.
