Using camera as live recording on computer webcast

I was wondering if anyone knows any way of connecting the HMC-40 to a computer and use it as a camera source for when recording a video using either Quicktime or for use in something like ustream/livestream/google hangouts?

i connect it to my compute with a USB and then the camera just has me select PC or Printer. Either way, I can't use it as a camera source.

Suggestions? Corrections?
 
I use a us video converter and ustream producer. When I get to the house I'll see if I can find the exact model. Sometimes it's wonky with ustream producer actually picking up the video stream. But using the composite outputs of the hmc40 I connect to my windows laptop via the us converter, bring up ustream producer, then use my iphone as a wifi hotspot. Using the straight USB connection does not work with most streaming protocols.
