using American DVX in Japan - any issues?

Hello,
I'm living in Japan, but plan on ordering a new DVX-100A from America and having it shipped over here. [The Japanese DVX costs over $5,000 here, and the menus and such will be in Japanese, which I won't be able to completely read]. The main downside is paying for shipping if I need to use the warranty...

Anyway, Stupid Question:
So, Japanese electricity is 100 V 50/60 Hz. America's is 120 V 60 Hz.
The American DVX handles 110/120/220/240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, from what I've read. So basically, I would need to purchase a transformer to keep things kosher, right?

* Does anyone know of any other conflicts / issues that I need to take care of?

Thanks a lot for your help and patience. I know this is ultra noob action.

Dodongo I was in the same situation as you. I got the dvx in Japan for 333300 yen! Don't bother ordering from the states!
