GH5 Using a GH5 for video conferencing (Google Meet)

Having so much experience with recorders, I know that just one wrong setting or a bad HDMI cable completely changes everything. Even though your computer recognizes the connection, something is not communicating properly with Google.
Actually, the Panasonic tether app does not use an HDMI connection. It requires a USB-C cable that plugs into the USB-C port on the GH5, then into a USB port on the computer. HDMI doesn't enter into the equation.

Unless someone can say they got this configuration to work with Google Meet (with or without using OSB), I may sniff around the outboard HDMI-to-USB adapter that was linked earlier. Teaching video concepts, I hate to be stuck with the $1.39 sensor that's built into the laptop.

Specifically around 11:30 - 12:50.

I'm just randomly suggesting here...I have zero experience with the GH5 and this activity, and more interested in solving your problem.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I watched a couple other videos on how to do this but the one you linked had the exact step-by-step for what I needed to do. I finally got a drop-down selection for OBS-Camera in Google Meet, and could select it. I had all the software on my computer already, but this video's clear description of what needed to be done was exactly what I needed. It works! I need to test an audio solution now... I'm going to try plugging a lav mic into the GH5 but this video implied that will not bring the audio onto the stream. Still, I'm WAY ahead of where I was 30 minutes ago.
