Using 60D as a second camera for interviews

Hi Guys,

I'm sure the answer to this question is hidden somewhere on the forum so a big apology.

I scoured the scene file reciepe discussion but can't find a post that has a reciepe list for the AF100 AND a Canon DSLR. (I see the Af100 reciepe but not the Canon settings).

Could anyone be so kind as to share their Af100 and Canon settings for getting the cameras to match. It's for a week long shoot of interviews so I'm trying to avoid hiring an AF100 for a full week. Would picking up a GH2 body be an easier option that trying to match the Canon? (Again reciepe lists for BOTH the AF100 and the GH2 would be appreciated).

Cheers
Mark

I use the 5D MK2 and 1DMK4 with the Pani and they match really well (cant speak for the 60D but should be similiar). I use neutral setting and dial contrast right down and saturation down at least a few clicks. The profile I use on the AF101 are similiar to the one posted by Editman here:-

I say similiar as I tweeked a few settings just to get a closer match and a bit more lattitude from the Pani.

Its worth doing your own tests beforehand but hopefully this will give you a starting point.

Having used both cameras on a shoot, here's my magic formula:

Leave the canon at home, rent an AF, sync time code, rinse and repeat.

I've done two shoots with the canon and the af, and even with the canon pic profile, it wasn't a walk in the park to get them to match. Not terrible, but not easy. It's sooooooooo worth the money to have two af's...seriously, find the extra $200 bucks for the rental, you'll thank me later.
