Hi,
I've bought 5DtoRGB app for transcoding footage shot for my documentary which uses both 5D mk2 and GH2.
I have recorded external audio with my Zoom.
I am editing with FCP7.
If I go ahead and process the footage, it comes out the other end with no audio, making syncing using Pluraleyes impossible.
Can anyone help me get round this problem? It is surely a common problem as I would have thought a lot of people would be in this situation, but i haven't found any other discussion on the topic, unless I'm looking in the wrong places?
All I can think is that with the 5D footage (which 90% of the doc has been shot on) I could bring the original h.264 files into fcp, sync the audio with those, then create the prores versions and replace the h.264s with them in fcp.
But this sounds quite messy and long, and it would only work with the 5d as there's no way of bringing the original gh2 files into fcp!
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Seems like quite an oversight for 5DtoRGB to not include audio, what with how many people shoot with external sound these days.
many thanks in advance.
Norman
