using 2 HMC150 cameras

How do I connect my 2 150's to video outdoor sports event from same side but different ends of field? One will be on motorized pan and tilt that I will operate and the other will be 'fixed 'and set up pregame . Won't this help me with editing on my Mac?

Not sure what you mean by connect? Do you mean to jam timecode? You connect them via the video port (the yellow one) using a phono to phone lead. In the menus set one as master and then the other as slave. It's all in the manual.

When editing you can place them on the sequence timelines according to the timecode of each of the clips. They will be within a few frames (jamming is not 100% perfect) but you can nudge them left or right to match.

Video ports that use a 1/4" jack? Timecode over composite video?

You sure about those instructions?

The video ports that use the phono connectors - the YELLOW one, and yes I am sure, I'm done it more times than I can remember.

Of course.... if would be much easier if people read the manual - ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/Panasonic/Drivers/PBTS/manuals/AG-HMC150_OI.pdf Page 55 - TC Present Mode - "Connect the TC PRESET IN/OUT terminals (VIDEO OUT terminals) on the two devices with a pin cable, and turn on the power".

I think by phono Exact was refering to RCA, not 1/4" inch. But he's absolutely right, the composite video out doubles as the timecode sync port.

Once in FCP, use multi cam to edit, or is it multi clip?can't remember..but it works great.

Hrm,

It thought after it converts to prorez there is no timecode information. I have yet to get this to work in FCP. Any how to's on this? besides manually setting up multiclip.
