Just got the 100A. I find the manual confusing. Where can I get a better explanation of the User1,2,3 buttons? How is this different from the Scene setting wheel.
Also, I got the camera in a jam where all I could see was color bars. Nothing I did could get me out of this. I had to turn camera off. Is this normal?
Are there turorials somehwere on this DVXuser site?
While I'm at it, the other question I have is white balancing. How do I set my white balance but also use the automatic mode in a way that prevents auto mode from resetting white balance.
As you can see I am at the bottom of the learning curve looking up, way up. The manual doesn't seem to address my questions, at least not in the way I would like.
One more thing, if anyone wants to comment. Yesterday I did a job which was photographing a large black piece of furniture in a large white room. I didn't want to see the walls of the room and I wanted to be wide open. I ended up using a dimmed 250 watt light. Is this camera really that sensitive?! I am somewhat amazed. Can someone describe the technology at work here and how it compares to ovther cameras, video and film.
Thanks.
