Use 5D3 as CF card reader for Magic lantern raw mlv files?

Hello,

I have a few files recorded on my CF card reader using Magic lantern raw using the magiclantern-Nightly.2014Aug07.5D3123 build. When I plug the camera into the computer, I can browse through the files on the CF card using Windows Explorer, but none of the MLV files show up in the folder structure. Can somebody tell me if I am making an obvious mistake? I heard you should have a CF card reader to transfer the files, but I figured using the camera should work too. I could be mistaken.

All help appreciated. Thank you!
Omar

The USB port on the 5D cameras is notoriously slow, so I would never use it for anything other than tehtered stills shooting. Get a usb reader....

You actually can't no. The camera's USB output/input is restricted by certain ''laws'' as in you can't for example copy something to the camera, and it only recognizes the allowed Canon files. I do use it all the time instead of pulling out the card, it a built-in card reader, just works with normal canon files. For RAW, use a reader.
