USB Output

A new regular client wants all raw footage burned to a dvd during our shoots. The only way I think I can do this is by tapping into the USB output and feeding it to a small, cheap Sony DVD portable recorder such as this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/597168-REG/Sony_VRD_P1_DVDirect_Express_VRD_P1.html

Question is, will this USB output on the AF-100 send video AND audio? Apparently the Sony burner has only a USB 2 input no rca composite inputs.

The client has to walk away with an unedited DVD for preview purposes. He won't give me an option.

Thanks

The USB output will send neither video nor audio. That's not what it's for.

If you want raw footage burned to DVD during your shoot, you should use the red/yellow/white composite outputs and connect those to a DVD burner.

Yes Shooter, I was thinking of sending files to either the laptop or to a dedicated DVD device with USB input. I think the quickest/cheapest way is to burn directly to that inexpensive unit. Thanks guys.

Again, the USB on the camera doesn't output any video. It is solely used for transferring files to a hard drive or computer.

I dont think the OP has clarified if the "client" wants a DVD or a DVD data disk with the "raw files".

Both requiring different solutions.

Best solution to either is a professional one that the client pays for... for seeing as the client is demanding it.
