USB Help !!

Hi there . . . . .

Firstly my problem . . . when I plug the 5DII into my Mac (via the USB cable) it doesn't seem to connect, it used to connect, then it started to take a few seconds to connect, then it took a few minutes to connect and now it won't connect at all.

This slow 'degradation' took a few months.

All the usual tricks have been tried (you name them, I've tried them, reinstall/update all the software/firmware, different USB cables/ports etc etc).

:furious3:

So, I gave up on the USB route and bought a CF reader - which is fine for downloading video and images.

But I wanted to load the Technicolor Cinestyle profile onto the 5DII . . . . but as far as I can see you can only do this by making a connection between the camera and the computer via USB ?

So to my question . . . . is there any clever way to upload the Technicolor Cinestyle profile onto the 5DII besides the USB route ?

Cheers for any help !!

How does it behave on a different computer? That would isolate the problem to either the Mac or the Camera. Have you tried different cables?

Thanks for the reply vec.

Not had the chance to try another computer as yet - I haven't got access to a second computer, but I could try and go to an internet café > download EOS utility to the internet café computer and then plug in the 5DII ???

Do you know if there is another way of getting profiles onto the 5DII besides USB connection (for instance a wi-fi card . . . ?)
