USB Drive offloading...

I've got a small Toshiba drive that connects to a laptop using 2 USB ports I've also got an external battery pack that can plug into its powerport..... yet when I plug it into the HVX to off load all I get is a "disconnect".

Does anyone know if theres anything fundamentally wrong with the above from an equipment point of view or confirm what the HVX settings are to allow me to offload without using the laptop. I'm currently getting like 20/30 people surrounding me every time I get the laptop out jossling about trying to get a look.... somethings going to get broken :(
Cheers

Is it a USB On-The-Go device? If not, it won't work with the HVX. The HVX can offload to 1394 drives, but not USB drives. So the USB drive has to be equipped with On-The-Go capability in order to be able to be used with an HVX.

Bummer.... I was in a rush and though that as long as the drive was powered then it would be O.K.... thanks for the info!
