US batteries on European HMC 151?

I would like to use the US-Type of HMC 150 battery (VW-VBG6 ppk) with a European HMC 151, since the batteries are much cheaper in the US. The name of the European type of battery is different (VW-VBG6E-K) but size, voltage and power looks to be the same (7.2 Volt, 5800mA). Are they electronically locked to either the HMC 150 or the HMC 151? Does anybody have some experience? Thanx a lot

Hi Neel, yes you can interchange the batteries. I own a 150 and a 151 with batteries bought in the both the UK and US, 100% swappable. Chargers are dual voltage too.
