Hello,
I am a previous HVX user/semi-owner but haven't used one in about 6 months. Long story short the HVX I used/"owned" belonged to the engineering company that I worked for which got sold to some other company leaving me jobless and cameraless , until I bought a Canon XTi.
However a friend recently got an HVX and has agreed to let me shoot the full eclipse tonight. I plan on doing timelapse using only a 16GB card to cover the ~3.5hrs the eclipse will last. But I'm at a loss when I think about what scene file settings I should use. I will look through the scene file x-change posted recently but would appreciate any feedback from those experienced using the HVX in low light/ night time/ moon shot scenarios.
I would also appreciate any other tips or suggestions you can provide such as recommended time lapse settings, gain, etc. I've gotten used to working my Canon XTi to take moon pics and have almost forgotten how to work the HVX until I get my hands on it about 4pm today for prep.
Thanks for any help you can provide with such short notice.
Jason
