OTHER: URGENT: Timecode sync PX270 and AF-101

Does anyone know if it's all possible to sync timecode of a AF-101 (which is said to take place through the yellow chinch port) and the PX270, which syncs via the HD-SDI port. Is there any solution??? URRRRRRGEEEEEEEEEEENT !!!

Thanks for your help in advance!!

I can sync my 250, so also should work on the 270. Make sure the camera with T.C. in is in Free Run. Should work fine. Google the manuals which are on the net.

But how? As far as I could figure out, the AF101 only syncs via chinch, not via SDI. But the 270 does not have a chinch input ... I am lost...

It works. I do it all the time. I haven't ever heard the term "chinch" input but I suspect that is a language thing. You can make the AF the Master or the Slave. Just make sure the 270 is set to input code or output code depending on whether you have AF set to Master or the Slave. Make sure both cameras are on Free Run and make sure both are on NDF or DF, if this matters I don't know but I always do it. So, just to start over, set the 270 TC port to output. Then cable to the yellow RCA/phono port on the AF. On the AF, navigate in the menu to TC settings and select "Slave" then you have to press set under the LCD on the AF. This is all from memory so I may have an error on the nomenclature, but that is the idea. I assure you it works. Code will likely shift and lose sync if you change AF from Rec. to PB and you should resync. Another thing is the TC in/out on AF is only momentary so no need to leave cables connected. In fact, I would NOT leave cables connected as that can lead to audio problems in the headphone output of AF.
