Urgent issue with SXS cards

Hi,

I posted on here before to say that I tried to format a 32GB SXS card in my ex1, but got to 79% and would not complete.

ITV who I borrowed the cards off now cannot format them in their EX1R. I'm not sure of the exact error, but says it's not recognised.

They checked it in a SXS card reader and it says it's formatted FAT32. I'm not sure how this can be the case as never used it in my PC, only my mac, which immediately shut down with an error.

Please help. These cards are very expensive.

Kind regards,

Olly Lawer

put the card in a windows system, use windows to format it to fat32
put the card back in the ex1r, then format it there.

make sure the write protect switch isn't on, and hasn't been bumped on

If the write protect would be on the formating process would not start at all. But the advice about formating in the computer is valid, you can do it on Mac as well, just choose format for PC.

I advised him to format via PC, as he previously tried formatting in his Mac and it completely locked his system. I think when the original format went wrong, it left a halfway finished, corrupted fat32 file system on the card and it's now confusing the eff out of everything he puts the card in

And jeez chad, those prices are absurd!

I have an EX1, and I use the Sony 32gig SxS pro. I think it's those cheaper orange cards that it may not work with.
