Urgent information needed

Panasonic finally called me back today after waiting almost a month for a service call...

I told the tech that other people on the forum had been having similar trouble with the CCD block being shifted on the HVX. He wanted me to find out if anyone had sent their camera in to be fixed and if so, what was fixed on the camera to correct the problem. I would really appreciate it if anyone could share their story for the good of my HVX and others on the forum. Another tech will be calling me tomorrow who is more familiar with the HVX and the shift problem.

On a good note, the tech did admitted that they have heard of the problem. So at least they are not trying to deny that a problem exists.

PM Luis Caffesse he had this and widely reported it. You could do a search may bring it up. (I cant help).
 
Actually I was told that the issue on my camera was an issue of 'White Shading' (or 'Lens Shading'). As far as I know the CCD Block on my camera should be okay - but the lens was completely replaced.

Let me see if I can dig up that thread - there might be something in there of interest for you.

Edited to add:
I can't seem to find it right now - and I'm on my way out the door.
I remember the title was something..."A Camera Odyssey"
But the search didn't seem to bring it up.
I'll check again when I get back later tonight
