Urgent Help?!

I'm on a shoot. All of a sudden I get the red X of death. Go back...The latest few minutes, there's timecode...no picture. The first few minutes from the day, there is timecode, some picture, and some messedup picture as below. Screen divided into a few horizontal lines. A's are okay, B's are the messed up picture:

Something like that.



Cleaned the heads over a month ago. No problems were apparent. Have used the camera since the cleaning, and everything was perfect.


Any suggestions/ideas?

I tried playing previously recorded tapes. Worked fine for a few minutes. Then, would only play timecode.

Now trying to play old tapes it plays fine.

Now the earlier part of the tape from this morning is playing fine....Could it have been digital interference?

So apparently it doesn't like my Panasonic recommended AY-DVM63PQ.

I've been using the Master Quality. I think I've used the Professional before. So I decided to save some money. Just bought a new box too...Looks like it's gettin sent back.

A red X and the venetian blind problem indicates dirty heads. Get them cleaned.

MQs are the recommended tape.

I don't understand why it occured with the PQ and not the MQ.
