Urgent: F35 owner in la needed....

May have water damage to the F35 that i have. It was hit with a small amount of water tonight on the back, with the IF box mounted. The camera was then struggling for power and now will not turn on.

It may just be the XLR at the back that shorted, and the IF box and camera are OK, but without another plate to test this, and i am away from mains power, it will be hard to trouble shoot to the problem.

If anyone can help, please email jon@backtoawake.com or text 407-342-5723. I need to power up the camera to see if she needs to go in for repair, or see if its just the Vmount place.

if no one in LA is able to help, I'm just a drive south in San Diego if all else fails!
 
Bummer, man. I hope it all sorts out with a relatively low cost fix. Makes me double glad that my camera survived the monsoon I shot in a few weeks back.
 
Thanks to macgregor this morning, we were able to test the camera with his IF box and test mine on his. It is my camera body that has shorted somehow, and it will be taken to the sony facility here in LA tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed....
 
Terrible news mate. Hopefully it's fixed up soon and with little cost involved!
 
We will see and i will let you all know.... its insured too, so i am not panicing too much, just have to shoot thursday and really need the universe to throw me some luck tomorrow :)
