I saw the film "Upstream Color" last night on the big screen, and I have to say the GH2 footage held up really well. There were a few shots that gave it away as a GH2, but for the most part, I would have had no idea what it was shot on - in fact the grade made a lot of it look very Alexa-ish. There were some slight technical issues that may have been slightly minimized by cameras with more DR, but I doubt anyone would notice them that weren't looking for them specifically.
What was most impressive to me were the night shots. I find when watching night footage from a lot of digital formats (DSLR, RED, etc.) that's when the cameras can start to look like video and the digital properties really come out. But I found the night shots to hold up exceptionally well, without ever feeling to video-y, if that makes sense.
Would love to hear others thoughts that have seen it. The film itself was very interesting and thought provoking.
