Ok, before bashing me for talking about this, I already know that you can never ad resolution to an image.

What I want to talk about is methods that can improve image quality or make it possible for DVX100 footage to become HDV material, with minimal loss in quality.

Now, you can upsize an image with photoshop or S-Spline, but is there a way to sharpen images without adding "light" to details? Instead removing the "softness" that occurs when upsizing?

When an image is upsized, there must be something you can do to "simulate" HDV. Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by "light" in details, but I've read some nice reviews of Instant HD:

-I don't think you want to simulate HDV, but HD. Removing softness is crucial when up-rezzing to HD, otherwise it just looks like SD converted to HD!

In instant HD, you have settings for Resolution, Sharpness and anti-aliasing, i think there is one more thing, But what are the recommended settings to gte best quality?

But I use Avid and InstantHD is only for FCP Premier and After Effects.
Is there any other program?
