upside down setup?

I'm setting up my 1600 Pelican case and was wondering if there was any problems with having the camera upside down during the walking stage? I like opening up the case and seeing everything laid out in the right visual setting. But if it pose a problem than I can turn the HVX upside down in the case and during the walking it will be rightside up.

Here is a photo to try and expain what I'm saying;

No problem with camera upside down but looks like you are going to have difficulty closing the case anyway.

Do you need the adaptor attached fulltime? If not you will be able to keep the camrea right side up.

or Get a bigger Case.

I haven't pluck the foam yet, just laid it out to get ideas on how to set it in. I have to carry it on the flight. Heading to New Zealand from Alaska next week. This is the biggest size I think I can get away with.

It would be nice not to have the adapter hook up at all times but having to put it together everyday is trouble some which means also having to reset everything.

Yeah I'd say go bigger with the case or break it down. With the foam I like to have at least an inch between all of the components and at least an inch if not two from the edges. Nothing more fun than seeing your pelican case do a quadruple toe loop into the luggage cart then bouncing and going for another half flip. Good news is the case survived as did all inside. I'm not ballsy enough to check the camera though. It goes in a 1510 off the rails and doesnt leave my side.

You should get a bigger case. You don't want the compartments too close together as over time they will rip through.. and you do need a bunch of room around the outside. I too wouldn't leave it all connected.. unless you need it to be run and gun ready.. which might be kind of nice.

Shooter - Yes I will be in Auckland and Gisborne. Filming 'Night Forest' You're welcome to hang out etc... if you like.

Justyn/Jeff you both are right. I'm going to move stuff around some more and pull some of it out (lens) and put it in the laptop bag. When it is all said and done I will post an update photo.
