Uprezzing in Avid just got better...

Neat. I hate console tricks though. Is it that hard for Avid to include a button that does the same thing?

when a lettebox's quality has to be increased with a script, it's beyond laughable.
at least they are sharing work arounds. Much better than their 10 years of "what aliasing?"

Oy... this is the same thread I started on the Avid community and the response was the same. Console commands are done as a means of testing functionality, or engineering test purposes inside the code. When things get sorted out, they get added to the application. In this case, there is no need for a GUI - it will become the default state of resize in a future release. No need for choice.

Thanks MichaelP seems like a pretty good improvemnt. Noticeable for sure and maybe this is the way to go as oppose to "squeeze" in camera.

to Micahel or anyone do you think this new avid recipe for uprezz would yield higher quality results than the "squeeze" function in the dvx?

In all cases of resize, you want to have as many pixels of resolution to start with - so avoid any letterboxing in camera.

I want to apply this to a sequence that I have already rendered. As I type into the console the resizes already applied on the timeline don't change to unrendered.
Does it mean that I have to render again the resizes effects on the timeline in order to get this to resize type "9" ?'

Or does it means that i have to drop the resize effects from the effect palette again and applye all the effect setting changes again?
