Uprezzed stretched (anamorphic) avi to Quicktime?

When the widescreen project is exported as a lossless avi, how do you create a Quicktime from this without it being stretched? To clarify, converting the stretched avi to a DVD ready mpeg works fine since DVD players always squeeze the stretched video anamorphically. How do I force Quicktime to do the same? Thanks.

You need to use Square pixels for the aspect ratio of the pixels in the quicktime file to ensure that it is not squeezed. Also, if you have it at 16:9, I believe the width and height of that video is 853 px by 480 px (which is the derivative of the 16:9 size of 720p with square pixels).
