OK I need some help from the guru's...

I have footage that was shot on a DVX100B / SQUEEZE @ 30p. (approx. 50 minutes worth, from a live event)

Captured into a DV NTSC / 29.97fps / 16:9 Adobe premiere CS3 project. Once imported I get the red line for renderring??? I have tried to export via Encoder in a H.264 / NTSC / 1280 X 720 / 29.97 / Progessive, format.

Once exported the mp4 is extremely jerky, not smooth at all. This is raw footage, noe editing, color grading yet, just wanted to see how the workflow went, and I just can't seem to figure it out.

I forgot to mention that I captured footage live via On-Location and just imported the avi. I did record to tape also, but I don't believe that this is an issue, as I had the same results last night in a short test of footage recorded.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Final output will be for web via BLIP-TV.

well, if its very choppy just raw it could also be your gpu, it might not be good enough (no reason why it shouldn't for SD footage) what's your computer setup that you captured to? that would help too.

Dell Inspiron 9300
Windows XP Media Center
2 GB ram
2.0Ghz Intel Pentium M Processor

No problem w/ original file in Media Player, plays crisp...

Why is it that the file needs to render when it is brought into the timeline?
