Uploading ex1 footage from cards

Hello,

I recently just bought a sony ex- 1 and i shot some footage on my two cards (16 & 8 gig). I am now wanting to upload the footage so that i can edit in final cut. I am running the final cut pro 6 application and i have downloaded the sony clip browsing 2.0. When i open the sony clip browing through my final cut pro it recognizes the cards, but it won't let me import them into final cut pro.

Can some one give me detailed steps in what i should do?

I need some help quick as i have a project that needs to be finished.

( i've been looking and searching though every page on this forum trying to find the someone who had the same situation, but i can't find anything...)
 
I believe on a mac (final cut right?) you use the XDCAM Transfer tool but being a PC user I can't really offer you any additional insight sorry.
 
import your footage in FCP

import your footage in FCP

Open Final Cut Pro first and choose file, import, XDCAM.
It opens the XDCAM Transfer app with the import button for FCP, if you just open the XDCAM app you can only view footage not import in to FCP.
