I can't answer that. But, I don't see how it would. Everyone else has been keeping theirs as a one word kinda deal and just denoting separate words with caps. i.e. ThisBeMyFilm.mov kinda thing.

Well, I'm still trying to make the deadline, but if it's West Coast time, I'll feel a lot better. This frickin' HD run off was HUGE and taking a long time to encode.

JimtheJib - sorry about whatever happened the first few time, but it worked this time. I got the file 
(I need to add an e-mail notification, so you guys get confirmation that your files uploaded...noted)
Mark - spaces, underscores are both fine. The script automatically encodes them as necessary to facilitate the upload, then once it gets the server it gets renamed to our pre-determined format (dvx member name, real name, film title, separated by dash "-" with all spaces removed).
Jarred - I imagine there will be a mad rush of people trying to upload late into the night and early in the morning (while I am sleeping). If any issues are encountered, I'll need time to deal with them. I was going to suggest a late morning cutoff (approx. 8:00, when I get into the office), where no new submissions could come in; but then any one that tried to upload up to the 8:00 time slot, but ran into issues because of the new upload system I would suggest giving us the full day to deal with those specifically (since most are uploading without problems). You're call, but that's my suggestion.

Ok, so remember, the "official" deadline is midnight tonight, but we're going to cut things off sometime around 12:00 noon EST tomorrow, which gives all of you some time to work out last minute issues. Don't push your luck on the extended deadline because we really want to have all the films up for viewing on Friday night. Good luck.

it's expecting a .zip file - within the zip should be a .mov or .mp4 (fest version, h.264 encoding) and DVD version (.mpeg or .mpg, optional .ac3).

Oh boy. I've had some problems today exporting the DVD files. I have the issue resolved, but Compressor's batch monitor is showing over 2 hours to go until it is done exporting the files.
I have the .mov file ready to go. Would it be possible to upload the .mov file now and the DVD files in a few hours. Not sure what to... :undecided
I'm hoping the deadline is a tad "soft" as in the past fest.:love4:

First, yes the deadline is a tad soft as I am going to bed now and will deal with issues (if there are any) in the morning.
You have until noon (PST) tomorrow to get uploaded.
If you choose to upload the mov only, then wait on uploading the DVD files until the end of the weekwhen I'm done moving files around...don't want to have to re-move a film. Also, in this instance you don't need to put the film in a zip. The uploader will accept mov files.
Yep B-Dawg...stayed in late in case if upload issues. So far it's going pretty smooth. Very few people are having problems.
