Upload Here

just a note. I noticed UKP uploaded a 300-something meg and took 2.2 hours.

... while I was toiling away to come up with an under 200mb file total because the uploader would not accept the zip file because it was over 200mb limit... am i missing something here?

I eventually uploaded a 196mb. my film is accidentally dead-on 5 minutes-including credits and opening logo- in and out.

Last night there was a 200mb limit imposed (left from the testing phase). I've since increased it to 400mb (should be sufficient for all entries, unless longer than the 6 minute limit).

The time it takes to upload is solely dependent upon your ISP's upload speed.

Larry (Or any body that knows),

Do we name every file with the naming convention? like below:

jeremytuttle-JeremyTuttle-atthepark.zip
jeremytuttle-JeremyTuttle-atthepark.mov
jeremytuttle-JeremyTuttle-atthepark.m2v (Or what ever Mpeg 2 is)

Or just the Zip?

Also if multiple users worked on it do you just pick one person to represent?

Jeremy,
On the zip, you put as much as you can. Mine read WildImaginationFilms-TCOM.zip
upload time like an hour and thirty minutes or so. file size a skitch over 220mb

Preferably name all files with that convention. However, the upload system does currently have a 32 character limit for the upload file (.zip), so keep that in mind.

The good news is, it doesn't matter what you name it because the script will properly name it based on the info you provide on the upload form.

Hope that helps.

Peace,
Larry

Larry,

I know you're probably real busy right now, but can you confirm for me whether or not mine uploaded?

File name = DVX-Ben-BenHaslup-.static.zip

Thanks

DVX-Ben - I don't see the film on the server. If the system works you will see two things: 1) A progress bar appears in the browser showing the upload progress and 2) when the upload completes a "finished" page will appear giving information about the completed upload and re-displaying the data you entered in the upload form (so you can verify everything is correct).

If you still have trouble, PM me and we'll see if we can work it out.

Peace,
Larry

Thanks Larry and Narrow Road Studios for rolling out the new system.

:)

ok, mission accomplished - I've uploaded.

Fate with Fade

Fate with Fade

Fade is uploading from The Netherlands right now. With a little fate it will all go well, my bed is waiting for me.

Mark,
Spaces won't necessarily be bad, but it can make it more difficult. Browser's turn spaces into something like %20 You would probably be better off separating with a _ if you want to. Spaces may or may not cause problems for some people, on some browsers, etc. (as far as I know).
