Name your Zip like this: Movie Name-Your Name-Username.zip

entry form will follow.

Thanks :)

Cynic, just so you know ... Oct 1st is Sunday NOT Monday. Didn't want you thinking you had an extra day there or something & miss it. :)

question b4 i upload

on the .mov file I right click goto propetieson winxp(and get info on OSX i have both) its says the file is 49.9MB. then is says size on disk is 52.3 megs. Doing the math 1024=1 meg 49.9 is correct... if i do Hard drive math 1000= 1 meg then its 52.3 megs. I just want to make sure that my upload is good to go

I would think that a base 2 (2^10) approach would apply as the limit was specified as 50 MB not 50 Million Bytes.

oh SH!T! you are right! well, i better get the shooting finished, its hard working 9-5 in San Jose, then commuting home to shoot and not have anyone around to actually act, ill probably be shooting tomorrow. i pray not.

I know that you want an anamorphic .m2v file, but have you specified if it must be CBR or VBR or our choice?

My guess, Blaine, is that is up to the user ... CBR vs. VBR simply changes the size of your file by being constant or changing the bit rate where it's needed most. I typically prefer CBR myself, but that's just me.

EDIT: Yeah, what Jarred said ... CBR. :)

Can I just call my file 'LITMDF' since the full title is Love Is The Most Deceptive Feeling???

That is for the part of the movie title...LITMDF-JohnLahanis....etc

ps. if you get confused, that's the one to compete, the door between will be up for exhibition (if I finish it in time)

Jarred,

Just so I'm clear, the h.264 is a Quicktime file less than 50MB? Is an .MP4 OK or does it have to be .MOV? And the mpeg 2 file, any size limitation? The mpeg 2 file is for the DVD?

Thanks,

RobertE

FCP 4.5 HD doesn't allow me to export mpeg2. Is there an alternative export option I can use for the DVD? Thanks for the help.
