Upload Center Help

I have tried a few times to upload a 4MB .wmv file to the member upload center. Each time it appears to go through the entire upload process. But at the end I get a message saying I did not select a file.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I not yet have the privileges to upload files? If I do end up successfully uploading a file how do I then access it in a post?

Much thanks appreciated.

Tim

According to the "Exclusions" section at the bottom of the screen I can't upload a file of any size. What do I have to do to be able to upload? I've been around for over a year. I don't have a lot of post (less than 80). Do I need to have a particular post count?

Go to the bottom right underneath UPLOAD FILE. It should say something like this
"Individual File Max. Size : 5.81 MB
Private folder Maximum size: 10.00 MB
Allowed file types:
jpg jpeg tif gif wmv mov avi txt zip "

Yours might be different because you've been around longer, but I'm not sure.

I see all that - it is exactly the same for me. But below that and to the left there is a little box captioned "Exclusion." It indicates I can't upload a file of any size.

That's normal. It basically says that you don't have the right to upload a file of any size, meaning: larger than the authorized size limit which is, as has already been noted, 5.81 mb.

I'm sure you've already done this but just in case:

Click the <Choose File> button and locate the file on your local drive. Make sure it is of the acceptable file formats. Then click the <Upload file> button. If it does not upload correctly, then, you may want to send a PM to Jarred because it has worked successfully for me several times. I'm not aware of any minimum post limits, but I suppose it is possible.

I did go through the whole upload process. I browse and select a file. Click upload and I even get the status bar indicating the file is uploading. At the end though I get the message, "You did not select a file."

I sent Jarred a message. Hopefully he can help me out.
