GH4 Upgrading to the GH4, selling GH3 and DP4 evf worth it for it?

I used the GH2 for a ton of stationary work, upgraded to the GH3 on a price error for $800 a while back. I'm loving it, but doing far less studio work, and much more run-n-gun and family stuff. I got the DP4 for peaking and help with manual focus, but most if the time it's to bulky and slow to use it the way I'd like.

i know the DP4 offers greater flexibility, but if I'm not using it that doesn't really matter. I have tons of manual glass, but the 12-35mm is on 90% of the time if I'm running around.

I'm excited about 4K for editing flexibility, but will use 1080p primarily.

So for me, the bigs pros are peaking, 4K, 96fps.

What would you do? I'd likely need to chip in another $100-200 depending on what I can sell the gh3 and dp4 kit for.

Since buying a GX7 I have not been using the GH3 much because the GX7 has focus peaking. I have a monitor for the GH3 and I can dig, if you are out in the field setting up a monitor can slow things down. Having focus peaking on cam has been a big plus for me.

From what I have read 1080p on the GH4 is comparable to the GH3. Its 4k where the GH4 distinguishes itself. If your primary interest is 1080p a used GX7 would be more cost effective although you would lose a mic jack.

I would sell the GH3 and monitor and get a GH4. Or if you aren't interested in 4K and don't need a mic jack get a GX7.

+1. I'd say essentially exactly the same thing.

Only addition is that the EVF on the GH4 is really nicer. Also, you have all flavors of MBPS available with the extended tele mode, unlike GH3.
